A look into the empty lock chamber.

Snapshot from inside the empty canal. The grass seems to be cut regularly, otherwise the chamber and the canal segment would be overgrown very fast.

This renovated bridge over the empty canal can be found some hundred meters towards Kelheim.

Number 22 is located several meters above the new Main-Danube Canal.

Lock 22 seen from the opposite bank of the new canal. I took this photograph in March 2003. But at that time I had not the opportunity to reach the lock, so I did not know its number. Sometimes later I forgot this lock. But as I took the other pictures shown here in September 2005, I remembered that I had already seen this lock.
