Lock 25 at Mühlhausen

The tow boat Alma-Viktoria in lock 25. It is still possible, to do trips with this boat drawn by horses. During the trips the boat is also going through this working lock.

Some of the locks in the south of Neumarkt are still able to work.

Empty the water from the lock and the boat could start towards Berching. But because of crossing streets Alma-Victoria would have to stop very soon.

Just passed the lock - and the tow trip goes forward.

Again and again a beautiful view: a lock cottage together with old and large trees.

Cottage of lock 25 contains a Brotzeitstube, where you can have snacks. Brotzeitstube means more or less something like a small one room restaurant, where you can have cold meals only, like cold platters and/or may be cake with tea and coffee.
